Dr. Donna Lopiano, a legend in women's sports, will be the keynote speaker at the annual luncheon of Chicago Women in Philanthropy, Monday, Oct. 31.
Dr. Lopiano is CEO of the Women's Sports Foundation, a charitable education organization dedicated to increasing opportunities for girls and women in sports and fitness through education, advocacy, recognition, and grants.
Chicago Women in Philanthropy ( CWIP ) is a volunteer-driven membership organization comprised of nearly 300 individuals in the philanthropic, corporate-giving, and nonprofit sectors interested in the issues facing women and girls.
'We are very excited to have Dr. Lopiano address our annual luncheon,' said CWIP Board Chair Pamela Stauffer. 'Our organization's goal is to help increase awareness about funding for programs impacting women and girls, and Donna has truly shown a dedication to that same mission.'
The event co-chairs are Naomi Tselepis, Manager of Special Events for The Chicago Lighthouse and Sarah Harrod.

CWIP creates public dialogue through relationship-building, education, and research, and advocates for increased funding to organizations serving women and girls.
Dr. Donna Lopiano has committed her life to helping women break through the glass ceiling in sports. The Sporting News ranked Lopiano No. 95 of the 100 Most Influential People in Sports ( 2000 ) and The Sports Business Journal lists her among the Top 10 Female Sports Executives in the nation.
