Windy City Radio, the Chicago-area's only weekly gay and lesbian radio program, will host a special kick-off party for the new Windy City Radio Members' Network. The event will be Thursday, Nov. 1, 6:30-8 p.m. at The Room, 5900 N. Broadway in Chicago.
Windy City Radio airs Sundays 10:30 p.m.-midnight on Chicago's only all-talk FM station, WCKG, 105.9. At 10 p.m. Sundays, Aware Talk Radio airs, with every third Sunday a gay newsmagazine, Life Outside, airing in its place.
Windy City Radio co-host Amy Matheny and her new co-host, Jim Bennett, will be a part of the Nov. 1 kick-off event, which will feature hors d'oeuvres and beverages, including Budweiser and Riggs & Forsythe products.
The WCR Members' Network fees start at just $25 a year, and range up to "Dollar a Day" Platinum Members. Benefits at each level include entry to raffles for fabulous prizes, theatre tickets, exclusive radio events, and more. Top donors will be entered to win American Airlines tickets, and are guaranteed to win tickets to top-end theatre and other entertainment events.
