Windy City Perf. Arts hosts 'To Russia with Love'

CHICAGO, IL - Windy City Performing Arts is presents its spring benefit: "To Russia With Love: Encouraging Equality Abroad by Celebrating LGBTQ Equality at Home," Saturday, May 3, at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St.
Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria Women's Chorus invite you to join us for an evening of music, food, and fun as we honor those in Chicago's LGBTQ community who have worked tirelessly to make marriage equality a reality in Illinois, as we continue to fight for equality around the globe.
The evening's festivities will feature this year's Voices of Change Award, honoring The March on Springfield for Marriage Equality, to be accepted by Tracy Baim and Kevin Boyer on behalf of the event's co-chairs.
Also featured will be the premiere of Windy City Performing Arts' You Are Beautiful music video, featuring a newly commissioned work by acclaimed composition team Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory. Following the premiere, the video will be shared with the It Gets Better Project's campaign to inspire and support the LGBTQ community in Russia, which struggles for the right to live freely and openly in the face of legislated oppression.
The evening includes delicious appetizer selections from Hearty Boys Catering, wine and beer from Sidetrack, specialty cocktails from Halsted Vodka, performances by Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria Women's Chorus, plus an amazing array of silent auction packages and much more.
All proceeds benefit Windy City Performing Arts, Chicago's premier LGBT Choral Arts Organization, dedicated to making an artistic and social statement through musical excellence.
"To Russia With Love", a benefit for Windy City Performing Arts will be presented Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., Chicago. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at wcpabenefit.brownpapertickets.com .
