First and foremost, if The Spread doesn't quite fill your leather appetites, don't fret. Next week's issue will feature even more great pix from IML/Bear Pride weekend. And what a weekend it's been so far! If ever there were a time I should be taking my vitamins, it's now. At present writing, it is Sunday, May 30 at 2:20 pm, and Mr. IML has not even been crowned yet! As soon as I get this bad boy off to the printer, it's off to the Congress Theatre for me to see the triumphant new king of IML! More next week (he reiterates.)
Elsewhere, Star Gaze celebrated #6 with all the typical fanfare and loveliness we've come to expect from Mamie and Dusty. Congrats, chicas!
Picture #1 is August from Clark's. Sporting his trucker-style cap and with a mischevious grin, I thought for a brief moment I was standing there chatting with Mr. Demi Moore himself. I'm not at liberty to divulge whether or not I got 'punked' within the course of the evening.
InnExile was hopping when I showed up for my periodic check-in. Let's all wish Kelly well with his disc problems. I SAID DISC. I'm sure the other thing is in fine working order (well, I can only assume.)
Wigs off to Ms. Chanel Exotique, newly crowned Miss Stella Productions 2004 at The Hideaway. Everybody was there in force and the show was just that, a show. Check out page 12 for
crowning shots.
Check out Creaoke's new ad on the facing page. Seems he's always stirring something up with those ads of his.
Well, Windy City Gay Idol is
coming to a thunderous conclusion next week at The Eagle. The final prelim at Jackhammer was, no doubt, the best round yet. A certain contestant had confronted me for having printed a picture of his flower, and not of him. All will be forgiven next week, when I will run a full-page salute to those
perennial contestants who, while never quite making it to the finals, certainly won a place in our hearts (and other bodily cavities.)
Last but not least, give it up for Sound-Bar! Everyone is itching for their grand opening event this Sunday. Get ready to scratch, boys and girls. Here's the lowdown— 3 rooms with 3 color-coded themes: Ahhh, Men! (in the heavenly blue room), The Femme FlavoRED Room (in hot red) and Peel a-go-go (in the orange room.) Something for every taste can be found at this banquet of delights. Dig in!
