Criminal charges against business owner Christy Webber that arose from an alleged altercation on the West Side this past spring have been dropped.
Webber, a prominent LGBTQ+ activist who also owns Christy Webber Landscapes and Christy Webber Farm & Garden, was arrested May 23 following a car accident at 614 N. Trumbull Ave., according to Chicago police. The location is a few blocks from her landscaping company.
Webber had been charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance; one misdemeanor count of carrying a firearm while under the influence; and a misdemeanor count of aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon. She was additionally cited for driving under the influence of a drug and striking an unattended vehicle.
All criminal charges were dropped in July, but the traffic-related charges have not yet been resolved, according to Webber's attorney, Thomas Breen.
