Local television station WTTW-11 has begun production on a new special profiling the history of Chicago's LGBT community. Out & Proud In Chicago is in production and will premiere in June.

Out & Proud In Chicago—co-produced by Daniel Andries and Alexandra Silets—will profile a wide range of people, from everyday folks to the famous. Among those who will be profiled are lesbian author/activist Valerie Taylor, activist/Baton Show Lounge owner Jim Flint, the late cartoonist Danny Sotomayor and social-activist couple Jane Addams and Mary Rozet Smith.

Individuals interested in contributing to the production fund should call 773-509-5535. For more info, see www.wttw.com .
