'Voice' contestant talks HIV status in magazine

In the July/August issue of the publication Positively Aware, Jamar Rogers—who competed on the reality-competition show The Voice—talks about his music, struggles and life beyond HIV, according to a press release.
At one point during the interview, he says, "What I'm hoping is that my music is so good, that I won't be the HIV guy, but I'll just be this amazing artist who happens to have HIV."
On the show (which features judges CeeLo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton) and up until his elimination during the semifinals, Rogers spoke very openly about his HIV status as well as his struggles with crystal-meth addiction.
