Reagan and gays
I read your front-page story regarding Ronald Reagan's death. It seems the gay consensus is (God forbid one disagrees) that homosexuals lived under oppression and despair during the '80s, contrary to hard facts. I won't get into details, because it's obvious the gay elites have made up their minds about history, but one hard fact you cannot deny. While you were wallowing in self-pity about how 'miserable' gay life was under Reagan, it was Reagan who forced the collapse of communism and, thus, freed millions of homosexuals living under REAL oppression behind the Iron Curtain. You people from the West have no idea what oppression is like. You should be disgusted with your ignorance AND arrogance. I dare you to publish this letter.

I am so sick of hearing all the anti-Reagan crap from the gay media. You people rant and rave as if Reagan was rounding up homosexuals and executing them. And don't say that his AIDS policy had the same effect. That's bull! Reagan was an old man from a different generation. He delt with AIDS and homosexuality as well as most of your mothers did. Get over it! What did you want him to do, anyway? Wave a wand and make a deadly virus magically disappear. Since when did the government become full of mystial powers?
Use your minds, for chrissakes! Homosexuality during the '80s proliferated more than at any other time, despite mean old Ronnie being in the White House. That's what's so great about America. Individuals in this country progress despite what government says or wants. Just look at Massachusetts! Not even its Republican Mormon governor could stop same-sex marriage in his own state! Besides, Reagan was instrumental in freeing homosexuals living under communism. Give credit where credit it's due. While Soviet Bloc homosexuals were in gulags or mental hospitals, we poor, oppressed, tortured Americans were on our second decade of gay pride parades gyrating in our thongs and leather chaps!
