VOX martinis flowed last week at the W Hotel Lakeshore as more than 400 people ( mostly gay men ) gathered as VOX Vodka and OUT magazine honored architect and creative designer Jacques Verlinden in the 2003 VOX OUT Voices of Style + Design Awards. Verlinden, who was presented the award by friend David Wilshire of Cheetah Gym, is the architect behind the flagship Crate & Barrel stores across the country. As a strategist for C & B, as well as an architectural visionary for the company, Verlinden has created the seductive identity and environment that has become the standard in shopping for home furnishings. Also at the Altitude W Hotel party room was Nate Berkus, last year's recipient and famed interior designer of the Oprah Winfrey Show. TOP: Berkus, Verlinden and Wilshire.
