VIRTUAL CINEMA MeToo drama 'Slalom' airing at Siskel starting May 7

The Cannes-selected #MeToo drama Slalomthe debut from filmmaker Charlène Favierwill run at the Gene Siskel Film Center's Virtual Cinema starting Friday, May 7.
The French movie is also currently playing at Music Box Theatre's Virtual Cinema.
Slalom follows the relationship between a teenage ski prodigy and her instructor, played by frequent Dardenne Brothers collaborator Jeremie Renier. In a breakthrough role, Noee Abita plays 15-year-old Lyza high school student in the French Alps who has been accepted to an elite ski club known for producing some of the country's top professional athletes. As she racks up success under his influence, Lyz has to endure the physical and emotional pressure of elite training and figure out how to escape the mental and physical grip of power and abuse from her predatory coach.
