The Seattle Lesbian would like to take the time to write a personal response to Mr. Fuckyoudikes who took offense to a recent story published in our online magazine titled Cleveland's WMMS Radio Issues Apology Following Rover's Morning Glory Lesbian Rape Comment:

Fuckyoudikes April 30, 2012 — 2:47 pm Are you fucking kidding me? You complain about a best of segment that has ran multiple times before. So on behalf of all the fans I would like to say fuck you, you god damn dike bitches, and I hope you all get fucking raped in the ass and get beat to within an inch of your life!

Dear Mr. Fuckyoudikes,

Your spelling and grammar are atrocious and points to the ignorance of your vulgar and juvenile homophobic comments. It's fascinating that those who desperately want to articulate how angry they are appear to rarely have the mental capacity to write a cohesive sentence that makes any sense!

How does one come to this conclusion, Mr. Fuckyoudikes? I would like to give you some concrete solutions for your hatred, so I did some research for you. According to a website called All About Counseling, I thought this little excerpt might help you understand your condition. Yes, I said "condition." Unlike homosexuality, homophobia is considered a mental-health issue.

Homophobia

Though homosexuality was seen as mental disorder until the late 1970s, the majority of people have grown to understand the plight of LGBT people. Unfortunately, though, there is still some fear of them in our communities. This fear of a person's own sexual preference and lifestyle is nearly always irrational and usually due to an inexperience around these different groups of people. Homophobia is an exaggerated, irrational or extreme fear of gay men or lesbian women, and will usually lead them to fear and sometimes hate these groups and subsequently avoid most people they envision as homosexual.

What causes homophobia

In contrast to most phobias, it is widely believed that homophobia is primarily caused by a person's direct environment rather than an inherent view held within them or any series of traumatic events.

Here are the most common demographics that have reported the highest levels of homophobia:

—Older men

—Low levels of education

—Religious

—Supportive of traditional gender roles

—Politically conservative

—Residing in a geographic area where tolerance of same-sex marriages are incredibly low

Homophobia cannot only hold you back in your life; it can also hold back others around you. This condition is not only an extreme or irrational fear of gay or lesbian people, it is also usually coupled with a hatred or outspoken disapproval of their homosexual relationships. This has recently become a large issue in our society and especially in LGBT communities. Making the effort for change will make a huge difference in your personal life, usually resulting in a more calm and collected composure in previously perceived stressful situations. If you are ready to make this change, which will result in positive changes on both a personal and social level, do some early Internet research to find the best treatment options available near you.

Mr. Fuckyoudikes, you are not alone in your delusional pursuit. The Anti-Defamation League website states:

Many conservative religious leaders have, at some point, spoken out against the gay community and warned of the danger they supposedly pose to America. 700 Club television host Pat Robertson said that, "Many of those people involved in Adolf Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals—the two things seem to go together." Former Congressman William Dannemeyer also compared homosexuals to Nazis when he wrote that "the homosexual blitzkrieg has been better planned than Hitler's…" Clearly, it is ridiculous to compare homosexuals in America to Germany's Nazi government which believed in warfare and mass murder as a means for taking over the world.

I do hope this shines some light on your condition and hopefully you will find your way to a mental health establishment that might help you find some relief for your outbursts of hatred and ignorance.

Peace...
