Mr. President:
After watching your snake oil presentation tonight, you need to go read the Constitution and especially the equal rights provisions. To attempt to disenfranchise millions of Americans by your right-wing Marriage Amendment is disgraceful. You brag about what you've done to liberate Iraq, and then you turn around and want to do virtually the same thing to millions of Americans that Saddam did to his people? Guess you can't find enough sand in Texas to bury us so you take the amend-the-constitution approach.
Your Vice President should be ashamed of the way that he treats his lesbian daughter—wanting to join you in making her a second-class citizen?
To characterize the courts of this nation as you have by your comments about the way they continue to rule on the matter of equal protection is evidence of your shallow understanding of what made America great.
Get off the bully pulpit and do what is right for ALL Americans.
