Urban Village Church hosting drag worship service, Pride prom Oct. 10

On Sunday, Oct. 10, Urban Village Church (UVC) will host a drag worship service at its Wicker Park site, 1012 N. Noble St.
Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. (CST) with performances from local drag artists, including Phoenix Black O'Hara, and a panel discussion of the intersection between drag and spirituality. Worship can be livestreamed on UVC's Facebook and YouTube pages.
Following the service, UVC is hosting an all-ages Pride Prom at its Hyde Park-Woodlawn site, 1407 E. 60th St., 2-4 p.m. The event will feature house music, dancing, fellowship and rainbow-carpet interviews. Space is limited; RSVP at bit.ly/UVCPrideProm.
Masks are required for all indoor gatherings. |
