'Witches' cabaret event June 22, 29

No One Here but Us Witches, a witch-themed cabaret that Harmony France has conceived, will take place June 22 and 29 at 8 p.m. at Uptown Underground, 4707N. Broadway.

Featuring Chicago actresses Missy Aguilar, Harmony France, Amanda Horvath and Danni Smith, the two-night only cabaret is directed by Geoffrey Bleeker with musical direction by Aaron Benham.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door ($15 for students, military members and veterans); visit uptownunderground.net . A cash bar is available and guests must be at least 21.

Melissa Young's 'Out and Proud!' June 17, 20

Vocalist Melissa Young plans to take audiences on a tour of the gay-rights movement through song and comedy in "Out And Proud! A Rainbow Celebration" on June 17 and 20 at 8 p.m. at Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Young will match icons to significant moments in LGBT history. For example, she Bette Midler's "Do You Wanna Dance" aligns with a post-Stonewall New York, and Diana Ross' "I'm Coming Out" dovetails with the creation the gay-pride flag.

There is a $15 cover with two-drink minimum; reservations are encouraged by calling 773-278-1830 or visiting DavenportsPianoBar.com .

Dyke Delicious finale June 13

The finale of the Dyke Delicious at Chicago Filmmakers series at 5243 N. Clark St. will take place Saturday, June 13, starting at 5:30 p.m.

The event will start with Gia, Gia, Gia!—a mash-up of two documentaries about the late supermodel Gia Carangi as well as the movie starring Angelina Jolie. At 7 p.m., there will be a social hour. At 8 p.m., Bad Girls Behind Bars—a compilation of four women's prison movies from four different decades—will be shown.

Takei in town for 'Mission Tour' June 14

Star Trek fans will celebrate a weekend of everything "Trek" as Creation Entertainment brings "The 49 Year Mission Tour" to the Chicago area June 12-14.

This event will be held at the Westin O-Hare Hotel, 6100 North River Rd., Rosemont.

Among those slated to attend are out actor George Takei ( Sulu from the original Star Trek; June 14 ), Karl Urban ( Bones on the new Star Trek films; June 13 ) and Chase Masterson ( Leeta of Deep Space Nine; June 12 ).
