Ailey troupe in town through March 13
The Auditorium Theatre's annual Chicago presentation of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will take place through March 13.
Segments on the program include "Awakening," Robert Battle's first world premiere since becoming artistic director; Ronald K. Brown's world premiere, "Open Door"; Rennie Harris' "Exodus"; Paul Taylor's "Piazzolla Caldera," set in a smoky tango club; Robert Battle's "No Longer Silent"; three productions Alvin Ailey created himself"Cry," "Love Songs" and "Blues Suite"; and "Revelations."
