Lambda Legal's 'Bon Foster' April 21
Lambda Legal will hold its annual "Bon Foster" event on Thursday, April 21, 6-9:30 p.m. at Morgan Manufacturing, 401 N. Morgan St.
The organization's premier Chicago event, "Bon" honors the memory of Robert Bonvoulior "Bon" Foster, the late civil-rights activist/attorney. In 1993, a bequest from Foster's estate established Lambda Legal's Chicago based Midwest Regional Office.

Personal PAC panel April 28
The organization Personal PAC will hold the free panel discussion "Reproductive Rights: The Politics of Race, Class, and Gender" on Thursday, April 28, 5:30-7 p.m., at Weinberg/Newton Gallery, 300 W. Superior St., Room 203.
The panelists will include Camilla B. Taylor, counsel for Lambda Legal and National Marriage Project director from 2010 through 2015; state Sen. Toi Hutchinson; and Ramon Gardenhire, the vice president of policy for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. Personal PAC President/CEO Terry Cosgrove will moderate.
The panel is part of "Your body is a battleground," an art exhibition that focuses on the many ways art and artists have moved the pro-choice and feminists movements forward. All of the art is available for auction to benefit Personal PAC at paddle8.com/auction/personalpac from 5 p.m. on Friday, April 15, until 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.
'E Pluribus Unum' chat at Center on April 13
Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., will host the latest in its Chats series"E Pluribus Unum"on Wed., April 13, 6:30-8 p.m.
According to a press release, "With so much progress left to be made and with international news at our fingertips, the need for a global LGBTQ community united as one is stronger than ever. But what [do] activism and volunteerism as an LGBTQ person look like on soil other than our own?"
Those slated to talk include Travis Bluemling and Jackie Kaplan-Perkins. Bluemling joined the Central Regional Office as the diversity recruiter in December 2014, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Indonesia during 2010-2012. Kaplan-Perkins joined Human Rights Watch in February 2015 as the director of Chicago and the Midwest.

Day of Silence/Night of Noise at Center
The Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., will hold two events for Day of Silence and Night of Noise this year.
On Thursday, April 14, 5-6 p.m., the Center's Youth Program will have a Day of Silence workshop where youth can create cards and T-shirts and have a discussion on how to prepare for the Day of Silence on Friday, April 15.
On Friday, April 15, youth will be encouraged to perform or read poetry inspired by the Day of Silence, create art and more. Dinner will be included.
