On Saturday, July 11, at 1-3 p.m., The Legacy Project will host a rooftop reception/fundraiser at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St.
The following day, there will be a special program at 2-5 p.m., at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., featuring an address by Pepe-Julian Onziema. Onziema will reflect on the life of slain Ugandan activist David Kato, recount the ongoing human rights crisis in Uganda, and chair a panel discussion exploring the terrible situation there since the re-introduction of the "Anti-Homosexuality Act."
