Joel Hall to premiere 'Anja' in August
In celebration of his dance company's 40th anniversary, choreographer Joel Hall will present the Joel Hall Dancers in the world premiere of "Anja: The Unexpected" over two weekendsAug. 7-8 and Aug. 14-15at the University of Chicago's Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th St.
"Anja" is a collaboration with three Chicago jazz musicians: Charles Heath ( percussion ), Ray Silkman ( saxophone ) and jazz vocalist Jesse Charbonier.

Local museum to host 'Downton' exhibit in 2016
The Richard H. Driehaus Museum, 40 E. Erie St., will exhibit "Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times" on Feb. 9-May 8, 2016.
The exhibit features more than 35 costumes from the popular British television series Downton Abbey. The show is filming its sixth and final season.
The award-winning costumes are produced by renowned London costume house Cosprop Ltd. Many use original fabrics and embellishments from the early 20th century, while others are re-created from old photographs, paintings, patterns, and magazine pictures.
Due to the anticipated popularity of the exhibition, Driehaus visitors will be required to purchase advance tickets online or by phone. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Oct. 7, 2015, at DriehausMuseum.org or 312-482-8933, ext. 21.
Shakespeare in the Parks thru Aug. 16
Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST), the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District and Boeing partner to present the annual citywide summer tradition, Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks.
This summer, 24 performances of Shakespeare's Greatest Hits travel to 17 neighborhood parks across Chicago, free for all, July 19—Aug. 16.
In its fourth year, Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks inaugurates cultural programming in a newly created Chicago Park District park: Steelworkers Park, a former industrial site now reclaimed as public green space in the Calumet region.
