'A Day With HIV' on Sept. 22
On Tuesday, Sept. 22, Positively Aware and TPAN are inviting everyone, regardless of HIV status, to get in the picture and participate in "A Day with HIV," the magazine's sixth annual anti-stigma photo campaign.
On that date, people across the world, whether HIV-positive or -negative, will visually capture and share a moment of their day"A Day with HIV"to focus attention on what it means to live in a world with the virus.
To learn more about this year's initiative, view last year's pictures and get tips on how to snap a great photo, visit www.ADayWithHIV.com . Photos taken on Sept. 22 need to be submitted by Friday, Sept. 25, on the A Day with HIV website ( www.ADayWithHIV.com ) or emailed to photo@adaywithhiv.com .
Photo submissions will be featured on www.ADayWithHIV.com, and select photos will appear in the November/December issue of Positively Aware. A panel of judges will select four pictures to be featured on four different covers of the magazine.
Ashley Judd to be at CFW luncheon
Actress Ashley Judd will be the featured speaker at the Chicago Foundation for Women's ( CFW's ) 30th Anniversary Luncheon and Symposium on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, 301 E. North Water St.
Judd is replacing original speaker Jane Fonda. Much like Fonda, Judd is known as an activist and champion for the equal rights of women and girls.
The symposium will start at 8 a.m. The networking reception will be 11 a.m.-12 p.m., and the luncheon/keynote address will be 12-1:30 p.m.

Alliance event to honor safe-schools heroes
The Illinois Safe Schools Alliance ( ISSA ) will host "An Alliance Homecoming" on Friday, Sept. 25, at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, 360 N State St., with a VIP reception at 5:30 p.m. and the general event at 7 p.m.
The event will feature restaurant tastings, a silent auction, awards, dancing and drinks.
The Alliance will honor state Sens. Heather Steans and William Delgado with the Advocate of the Year Award. In addition, the organization will honor the Berwyn South School District 100 with the Ally of the Year Award.

Men Having Babies seminar Sept. 20
The Men Having Babies Surrogacy Seminar & Gay Parenting Expo will take place Sunday, Sept. 20, at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St.
Following a collaboration in offering a mini-conference in September 2014, Men Having Babies is teaming again with the Center on Halsted and Howard Brown Health Center to offer a program dedicated to biological parenting for gay menand it's a full-day conference.
