DIFFA event on March 3
The Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS/Chicago ( DIFFA/Chicago ) Auxiliary Board will host its fourth annual DIFFArence event on Thursday, March 3, at The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., 6-9 p.m.
The event will have a burlesque theme, with dancers from Chicago Starlets and Naughty Little Cabaret performing. Raffle items include an original pilot script for Jane the Virgin signed by fellow Chicagoan and 2015 Golden Globe winner Gina Rodriguez; a KOVAL Distillery tour for 25; and a private wine tasting for 20 people from Wines for Humanity, among other things.

Exhibit spotlights women and HIV/AIDS
The University of Illinois at Chicago is presenting "In Plain Sight: A Women's History of HIV/AIDS in Chicago," an exhibition featuring oral histories, photos, documents and hand-written stories from Chicago women living with HIV.
"In Plain Sight" will run through Saturday, April 2 ( on Thursdays through Saturdays ), at the Pop Up JUST Art Center, 1255 S. Halsted St.
The exhibition and corresponding project are the result of collaboration between the UIC-based History Moves project and Chicago participants in the Women's Interagency HIV Study ( WIHS ), a 23-year-old clinical research study on women living with HIV.

Former Red Dog Space reopens
The former Red Dog space has reopened as Annex, 1958 W. North Ave.
The space played a key role in Chicago's second wave of house music throughout the 1990s as Red Dog nightclubonce a launching pad for deejays like Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Cajmere ( aka Green Velvet ), Mark Grant, DJ Heather, Johnny Fiasco, Spencer Kinsey and more.
