Gobble-Gobble to you all as the fall season is here. Here is a list of tunes that will help you shake off some of those holiday fixings, CDs to add to your collection and general info of interest!

San Francisco Sessions V4: Soundtrack To The Soul – Kaskade (OM Records)

OM Records has done it again! I received this promo in the mail and waited a few days to listen. While re-vamping my vinyl collection, I threw it on and kept getting interrupted by the track selection and having to replay a few. Soundtrack To The Soul by Kaskade is an extension of this man's versatility. Fourteen tracks and some unreleased (including the title track, with vocals by Anthony Green), 'I Need Your Love' by Harrison Crump, 'Funky Music' by Pound Boys featuring Thea Austin and the gospel anthem 'The Light' by Jamie Lewis featuring Michelle Weeks, showcases to fans old and new what lies deep within the soul of this man. As of this writing, Kaskade is on tour promoting this exciting release and will be coming to Chicago Dec. 6, so mark your calendar. For more information on Kaskade or other OM artists and releases, visit www.om-records.com .

Deep Concentration 4: Wreckin' The Floor (OM Records)

OM Records returns with the fourth volume of their legendary hip-hop series, Deep Concentration. The tempo and rhymes may have changed but the emphasis is on rocking the party. Some of the artists featured here include 'Speed Bump' by Strange Fruit Project, 'Here Comes The Judge' by Zeph and Azeem and 'Something' by Crown City Rockers. Although not your typical Top 40 hip-hop, it's definitely worth the listen.

Disco Kandi 05.03

Base Ibiza 2003/– various artists (Hed Kandi Records)

As with past compilations, Hed Kandi delivers once again a knockout in superb underground dance music known and unknown. This two-CD set includes chart toppers by Basement Jaxx 'Do Your Thing,' Tim Deluxe 'Less Talk, More Action,' Junior Jack 'E-Samba' and a re-work of the classic 'Over Like A Fat Rat' by Community featuring Fonda Rae. Base Ibiza 2003 takes the club anthems to the floor with a punch of Latin flavour and disco house grooves to shift your hips into overdrive. Featuring tracks by Sandy Rivera 'I Can't Stop,' Casa Jazz 'La La Li,' DJ Chus and David Penn featuring Caterina 'Baila' and a dance remake of the Fifth Dimension classic, 'Let The Sunshine In' by Milk and Sugar.

Aside from their compilations which feature incredible eye-catching artwork, you can listen to their radio show online at www.jazzfm.com or for more information visit www.hedkandi.com .

_____

Maestro, a documentary focusing on nightlife, music, DJ's and the people who come and make the party is currently being played in cinemas across the U.S. and abroad. It is a production that has taken four long years to bring together and is also in development for DVD release in 2004. This is an item for collectors who love dance music and takes a look back at the root of it all, the dance floor. Focusing on clubs like Paradise Garage and The Loft to interviews with DJ's Little Louie Vega and Tony Humphries. The film was first introduced to the public two years ago when it debuted at the International Film Festival here. For more information, visit their Web site at www.maestro-documentary.com .

Swing City has been keeping themselves busy by re-releasing Cada Vez by Negrocan. This has been re-worked by Richard Earnshaw, turning this Latin jazz classic into an unforgettable anthem. Next up on their roster is En La Piscina by Mankz and the forthcoming Can't Let Go and Bodyswerve by M-Gee (Grant Nelson and Matt Schwartz) featuring Mica Paris. To celebrate their 50th release, the label will release a compilation of past hits which include 'De La Bass' by Mousse T, 'Longtime Coming' by Bump & Flex and 'Rhode House' by Grant Nelson.
