On Dec. 11, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected an attempt by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxtonwhich outgoing President Donald Trump backedto block the ballots of millions of voters in battleground states that went in favor of President-elect Joe Biden.
The court's order was issued with no public dissents, CNN.com noted.
"The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!," Trump tweeted after the court's decision.
According to TexasAttorneyGeneral.gov, Paxton's suit claimed the four statesPennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Wisconsin (which all went for Biden)exploited the COVID-19 pandemic to justify ignoring federal and state election laws and unlawfully enacting last-minute changes, thereby skewing the results of the 2020 general election.
The Electoral College will convene Dec. 14 to affirm Biden's win.
