Anthony: The Abyss is your theme for your Saturday night Revolution party this Market Days, and it also happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time. Tell me you got Ed Harris to guest host?!
Matthew: HA! Could you imagine? "Um, yes, Mr. Harris, you do see 1,500 shirtless men dancing together. Right this way to your opera box". We have some great decor elements we wanted to use this year and thought Market Days would be the perfect time to go deep down underwater and present some sexy creatures on stage.
AD: Chicago is growing as a destination city, and great events bring people. What kind of dream events do you have in mind for the future?
MH: I have my eye set on 2014 to be the year we go head to head with New York and Los Angeles for high-profile gay events. It boggles my mind that Chicago does not have that pull yet, but the wheels are already in motion for something bigger and better next year.
AD: It's a lot of work to throw a big party! What's your favorite way to celebrate and/or unwind after a successful event?
MH: I like to attend other promoters' events after mine to hang out and enjoy their hard work. Also, I am a foodie, so there is a mandatory three-day feasting that takes place that usually involves amazing times with my friends to catch up from the weekend, since I do not get to spend time with them prior to my parties. And a massage.
