"Hope in an Age of Crisis: Reclaiming Dr. King's Radical Vision for Economic Equality," attracted approximately 2,000 people Jan. 19 ( the day before Martin Luther King Jr. Day ) to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 8235 S. South Shore Dr.

Attendee Andy Thayer told Windy City Times that "Rev. Dwight Gardner, the keynoter, totally brought the house down with a sharp critique of the economic inequalities of today and the money-driven politics that reinforce it."
