Accidentally, Like A Martyr, Red Orchid Theatre, through March 1. Grant James Varjas' group portrait of old-timers in an urban neighborhood gay bar provides the perfect vehicle for Chicago-style ensemble actingout-of-town visitors, this is your chance to see what the fuss is about. MSB
The Life and Sort of Death of Eric Argyle, Steep Theatre, through Feb. 28. When a shy swain dies before he can declare himself to his lady love, even the bureaucrats in the afterlife bend the rules to ensure a romantically satisfying ending for survivors and deceased alike. MSB
No Way to Treat a Lady, Fox Valley Repertory at Pheasant Run Resort, St. Charles, through March 8. This 1990s off-Broadway musical comedy thriller based upon William Goldman's 1960s novel is wonderfully intimate and funny as you watch a detective fall in love while also pursuing a fame-hungry serial killer.
