Yay for boo! Halloween is beginning to creep upon the town. Consider this part one of our big Halloween issue. More boo to come next issue.
But yay for Anthony's shot of the deadly hot Rob Racine on this week's cover. With the advent of the current season of American Horror Story, anything gay and Halloween-related this year will undoubtedly take on a freakshow/sideshow feel. You can get more of Rob's sideshow at his special Naughty Little Cabaret at Mother's. More details to come in future issues.
Considering dying my hair grey for my 40th birthday in a few weeks. Should make for a great DILF party, as I am hosting the November 1 DILF at The Sofo Tap, tentatively titled "Day of the DILF." Get ready for some mature fun.
The big deal this week is Night of 100 Drag Queens, Sidetrack's annual benefit for Equality IL. Look online for a special interview with special performer Dixie Lynn Cartwright.
My trivia night at Shaker's On Clark is really taking off. We had some pretty big brains there last week. Come see if you can outbrain them each Tuesday at 9 pm. The adorable Paul is behind the bar and I'm behind the brains. BRAINS!!!
While away on my road trip ( which was fucking amazing, by the way ), I missed out on a few events. Luckily, Jerry was able to cover Oktoberfest at Scot's for me. Although I sure did miss getting my knuckles bruised during that vicious wooden spoon game they play. Not for the faint of heart ... or knuckle.
Also, Anthony was able to get Project Run-a-way at Progress for me. David, you're a gorgeous, gorgeous man, even in Wicked-in-a-wifebeater drag. Hope you raised tons of funds for Camp Heartland!
I leave you with my view for a good portion of last week in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Check out my travel article on this hidden mountain gem in next week' s issue of Windy City Times.
