Pics: Scott Cramer and Mini-Cher at Scarlet's First Ward Ball, With Tom at Sofo; Johnny Dangerous and friend at Berlin

I'm only sorry that I got to The First Ward Ball at Scarlet too late to see Scott in his chicken suit. I love a man who can dress as poultry. Perhaps next week, if I get there early enough, I can give him a goose.

All bird-related double entendres aside, the boys of The First Ward Ball really pulled it off. Let's hope this Sunday night sexiness stays around for a while.

And speaking of birds, that old hen Madonna's new album dropped last week. Just in time for Berlin's Madonnarama, no less. Riley York completed ( or continued... I don't think he can ever stop ) his Hard Candy tour to the satisfaction of the sweaty throngs. And whom did I discover sweating amongst them but our favorite homo rapper Johnny Dangerous. Make sure to check out his video 'Dirty Is the New Black' on Logo's Web site. You'll need a shower afterwards. Trust.

And speaking of birds, if you walked like a pigeon as a teen, if your acne rendered you a pizza-face ( or any Italian dish ) , if you still are afraid to shower with groups of other naked dudes, you can relate ( and relax ) at Mary's Attic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Scooty & Jojo's Mollywood. I saw the preview night, which I enjoyed because they're still knocking shit over unintentionally. They've assured me it's well ironed by now. So see this totally excellent show. Fer sure.

And speaking of birds, James was the cock of the walk at

@mosphere's Gay Idol night this past Wednesday. Having seen him sing at a few other locations, it was only a matter of time before he bowled 'em over with his Elvis-flavored sultriness. Keep your eye on this one.

And speaking of birds, Hydrate has risen like a phoenix from the ashes with its snazzy new decor. All that only took a week? I'm flabbergasted.

Much as I am by Jeff D., who also advanced to the Gay Idol semis from Hydrate. So cute. So fuzzy. So rock-n-roll. Sweet Jesus.

And speaking of birds, the ostrich, the fastest non-flying bird on Earth, can match speeds of a galloping horse. Can you? Than do it for a good cause. Frontrunners/Frontwalkers Chicago is presenting the 27th Annual Proud To Run on June 28. I hung out with them at their fund-raiser at Scot's and got some interesting shots involving inseams. It's all fun with them, AND you get to help raise much-needed funds to help health-service organizations. See www.frfwchicago.org/ptr2008 for more info.

And even if you're as slow as an American Woodcock, you can join too.

You know, speaking of birds...
