Howard Brown has announced the recipients of the annual Cornerstone Award for community excellence. Jessica Halem, executive director of Lesbian Community Cancer Project ( LCCP ) , will receive the Cornerstone Community Leader Award. According to a HBHC press release, Halem is a tireless advocate 'for the health and well-being of lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals through tireless advocacy and public education.'
T's Bar & Restaurant, located at 5025 N. Clark, will receive the Cornerstone Community Partner Award 'for being a constant and supportive partner on behalf of the LGBT community's philanthropic efforts,' according HBHC.
The awards will be presented at Howard Brown's A Taste for Every Palate benefit, which will be held May 22 at Architectural Artifacts, 4325 N. Ravenswood. Among the highlights will be fares from Chicago's top restaurants and wine vendors as well as art and silent auctions.
