||TPAN to Discuss Race and AIDS

On Feb. 24, Test Positive Aware Network ( TPAN ) will host an evening of culinary experience and a community speakout, 'The Real Deal,' to address the challenges in healthcare discrimination around HIV/AIDS. Lora Branch, from the Chicago Department of Public Health, will direct three questions to a panel and audience that will identify differences regarding HIV in Black and white communities as well as actions than can make a difference.
The event will begin with a southern, Jamaican and Ethiopian food sampling from 5:30 to 6:45 at TPAN, 5537 N. Broadway, and a panel discussion from 7-9 p.m. at North Shore Baptist Church, 5244 N. Lakewood. Call ( 773 ) 989-9400 to RSVP.
