Bolingbrook's Theatre-on the-Hill will debut its 21st season with The Drowsy Chaperone.
Winner of five Tony Awards, this "musical within a comedy" is an homage to the musicals of the Jazz Age. A man in a chair puts on his favorite (fictional) record, and the show comes to life in song, dance and the madcap adventures of two lovers approaching their wedding day.
The musical is set to be performed Friday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, April 2, at 3 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m. New this year is a streaming option for Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
Performances will take place at the Roger C. Claar Performing Arts Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Rd., Bolingbrook. All shows are performed indoors.
Tickets cost $20 (for both streaming and in-person) each and are available for purchase at www.theatreonthehill.org .
NOTE: Face masks and proof of COVID vaccination will be required for in-person attendance. Seating will be limited to help maintain social distancing.
