Chicago organization Gay Liberation Network ( GLN ) had a busy time last week as it participated in rallies in Wheaton and Joliet. Gay-rights activists from Chicago and Joliet hold a rally in Joliet July 18 in support of local, state and federal changes that would ensure the civil rights of LGBT citizens. Activists talked about their hopes that the Obama administration will repeal the Defense of Marriage Act as well as "Don't Ask Don't Tell," and that Congress will pass a trans-inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Joliet's Community Alliance and Action Network and GLN co-sponsored the event. Photos by Ryan Kolodziej
