This morning I'm recovering from the Super 8 Cum Shot CD release party last night upstairs at the Eagle, which was a Who's Who of Chicago's music and art scene. Who wasn't there?

Only Super 8 Cum Shot can pull that many talented people together in one room.

CALLING JOAN JETT-BLAKK: My back porch is being converted into an office and it's full of drag queen droppings. Call me …

CALLING APRIL: I met you at the White Party. Call me at the office (773) 871-7610 or e-mail sukie@windycitymediagroup.com

The Nightspots gang turned out in force for the Windy City Suburban Gay Idol contest at the Hideaway. It was hard to choose winners because everyone was so good, and the judges were a tough bunch … three from the band Iridium and Hideaway sweetheart Arch-Enemy Kelly Siland. In fact, the judges got booed a couple of times; the contest is ruthless and competitive …

Loved Little Steve and his alternative cock rock.

And what's with this lovefest with Creaoke Creagh and Hideaway? He told me he hadn't been to the bar for two years, and yet when he walked in it was like he was returning with baskets of bread and fishes to feed the masses.

Creaoke is huge in the 'burbs. I also heard he's not small in the nether regions either. Not that I'm one to gossip …

Madrigal's is packed at weekends and is definitely one of the hottest spots north of Halsted. Had fun photographing the adorable Tristan Adonis … what a nice young man.

So Kirk and I stopped off for a cocktail at Star Gaze, then we were headed south to Madrigal's … or we were until we got sidetracked by Michael Bonfiglio at his gallery.

Well, my dears, we went down to his basement and did a little photo shoot with him in bubble-wrap and not much else … actually, it was just him and the bubble wrap. You're going to have to wait two or three weeks to see the photos, though …… Kirk and I are using them for personal reasons at the moment.

Message to Angelique Munro: That's fabulous news, I'm so pleased for you. Now get out the feathers and get back to work, girl!!

I'm beginning to wonder if Stella hasn't actually moved into Jackhammer; I think she may be sleeping downstairs. Every time I go in there, the first thing I see is Stella waving her cocktail at me. We're supposed to be going on a bar crawl, girl, so call me at home. Kirk's got the number.

I always used to drop into the Manhandler before heading off to the other bars to take pictures, but lately I've been hanging out there more and more; those bartenders give good gossip.

A while back I was in there and who should I see but one of the appraisers from the Antiques Roadshow; the one with the beard and the earring that really isn't working for him. You know the one …

Hot Tips:

Temptations has a lot of events coming up, but the Lakeside Pride Band on Sunday, October 26 is a must-be-there.

Saturday, October 18 Stella Productions perform at Inn Exile at 11 p.m. Hi Kelly!

Be very afraid!! A Nightmare on Diva St. with Absolute Diva is 'happening' at The Edge on Friday, October 24. If you haven't been to the Edge, then make this your first trip. It's a fabulous bar with fun people. Hi China!!
