Go on try it!! The monthly Mr. Charlie's contest takes place at your favorite country bar on the first Friday of every month. No, I won't be entering the contest myself, not unless the bar starts doing a Mr. Nelly contest.

Well, hot or what? Chix Mix is going into overdrive with their parties at Circuit once a month. Circuit is easy to find, it's next door to the Dakota Nursing Home for the Mentally Retarded.

Chix Mix parties are aimed at grlz, but in the spirit of Nightspots, you'll find boyz, grlz, ev'ry1 there. Tattoos, S&M and great performances are all a part of the Chix Mix mix. Next month go join in the madness at Circuit … did I hear drag queens mentioned? And thanks to the guys who came up to me at Chix Mix and began signing. I don't sign myself, but I understood what you were saying and thanks for your kind thoughts.

While we're on the subject of grlz, what happened to the Chicago Kings and also those fabulous dykediva.com parties?

Calling Miss Demanda Bump!! Could Miss Demanda Bump please make her way to the underwear counter … bitch!!

I'm going into therapy. I dropped into Different Strokes and the bartender asked me to go downstairs to see Frankie Da Kat. I ran down the stairs and there was Frankie's bare ass; he was wearing a jock-strap and not much else. Miss Gina—of the famous Gina and the Gyna Goils—had to fan me and pour me a stiff drink.

Wait 'til you see the upcoming Pantheon of Leather cover shot that graysong took at Cell Block. Thanks to David Boyer for setting it up.

+++

Is there anybody else who wants to be photographed wearing the lucky Nightspots jock strap? Gender, size, age, sexuality, cloning-status are irrelevant. Also, Nightspots is proud to announce that one of our cover models is now 'behind bars,' and we don't mean serving drinks!! We like it when things like that happen.

Artist Michael Bonfiglio, our cover guy, is a piece of artwork himself: Gallery Bonfiglio at 5408 N. Clark; www.gallerybonfiglio.com .

Hot Tips: Don't forget Thursday nights at Neo. It's a NOW night with THEN music. New Wave, Punk, and Ska. It's a wild planet, so if you're an alien life-form you may want to land your module there.

MADRIGALS!! MADRIGALS!! MADRIGALS!!

Mondays 11 p.m.-1 a.m. at Jackhammer for Retro Therapy with host Darren. Hi Darren!!
