Cover this week is Girl-About-Town Lauren Jacobs; to be seen at Charlie's on Monday nights at Bitch Bingo with the delicious Frieda Lay. Drop in and join in the madness. These girls are fierce.

Looks like Charlie's have got it all sewn up down in Lakeview. What used to be a country bar PERIOD has branched out into being a hot venue for all manner of craziness; without losing its country theme. It all depends on when you go in.
I'll admit it, I'm a huge Teriyake fan. In Chicago, she has brought drag into the 21st century, and so when she was doing her Sunday night show at Charlie's, I cancelled everything to go along and see her.
Fabulous!! I just love her. I think she's doing the show every Sunday. If she isn't, then she should be.

If you didn't go to the Mardi Gras party at Jackhammer … well, you can imagine what it was like. Wild, wild, wild!! I wasn't there to see who collected the most beads, but I heard a rumor it was our friend Michael Bonfiglio.
I wonder how he got all those beads … mmmm!

The 23rd annual Carnivale With The Bears at Touche was a blast. It was great to see Scott back behind the bar. Take it easy, sweetheart.

Hot Tips:
David Graham (Mr. ILGRA) is the host of BaDaBingo at Buddies' every Tuesday. Starts at 8:30 p.m. and the money raised goes to various charities.
ILGRA are all over the place at the moment. Kings and Queens of Country Music is the name of their next show at one of my favorite bars, The Edge in Blue Island on March 21. The show starts at 11 p.m. and stars Monique Marquette, Jada McRae, James Jenkins, and Michael Vrooman.
And don't miss the Chix Mix party on March 21 at Circuit. It's called Vegas Strip: Sin City Chicagostyle and, as well as X-treme showgirls in cages, Stella Productions is adding to the glitter with performances by Julia Knight, Regina Upright, Tajma Hall, Erika Carter, Sabrina Delite, Eileen Dover.
So the bar closes, where do you go? Clarks on Clarks is open 'til 4 a.m. It's the bar for the young at heart. Fridays is especially insane!! A few doors south of the Eagle, Eagle Leathers and Man's Country, and right opposite Different Strokes … it's a mini-gay neighborhood on its own.
Need a pharmacy in the 'hood? Go see my friend Jim over at Statscript at 912 W. Belmont. (Hey Jim, SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! … you don't call, you don't write, and is it possible for your band to play a little closer to home than fucking Peoria?)
A little note for Rhodesia: I think I'm finally over it.
Zazoo and Satori, who were on the cover of the Feb. 26 issue of Nightspots, have a fabulous website. Go visit www.TheClubCreatures.com
Are you ready for Windy City Gay Idol? There are some great prizes … look for the ads. I expect to see all the Creaoke Kids there. First date: March 30 at Star Gaze. Rules at: www.WindyCityMediaGroup.com .
