The competition at Windy City Gay Idol is getting fierce, with a great turnout for the last one at Spin. Each bar has a different crowd and then there are the Creoke groupies who follow him everywhere.

I see the Jackhammer crowd turned up to hear Darren sing … but where was Darren? Did I miss him? I had to leave half way through, so I also missed the 8-ft. Elvis.

And I got to meet the wonderful Alysha Stone in boy drag. A real nice guy.

I heard that one of the winners was a very Proud Mary who brought his fan club along for support. The audience votes, so it's a smart idea to bring all your friends. Although, you're supposed to be voting on talent.

Tonight it's at Charlie's, then upcoming we have Madrigal's, Jackhammer, and the finals at Circuit June 14.

Stunning! It's the only word to describe the Veronica Zaid fashion show at Lola's. I love that bar!! And before the show I got to hang out with one of my favorite people in the world, the beautiful Monique Green.

Miss Zaid's designs were amazing.

The boyz and grlz at Lola's are the easiest people to photograph because they're so beautiful. They also know what a camera is. Here's a tip: If you're on stage and you want me to take a picture, look at the camera. Take a lesson from Gina.

Spent an interesting evening with post-punker Jim, one of the pharmacists at Statscript. We met up at Rehab for Paula Sinclaire and Foozie's Bingo Night. I've got a photo-shoot coming up with Foozie that you won't believe!!

We then went over to Charlie's Bingo with Lauren Jacobs and Frida Lay. Is there a Monday night drag queen bingo war going on?

… probably not! I love all of you.

Great talking to Chuck Renslow at the Eagle. He's a big fan of my Chicago Whispers column over at Windy City Times, and he's been a great help for me in researching the history of lesbian and gay Chicago. The Eagle is a real leatherman's bar with those wonderful Etienne pictures on the wall. I actually own an IML poster that was signed by Etienne himself. I look forward to the upcoming IML.

Some foot fetishist asked me about a picture in last week's Nightspots with the caption 'Get Nailed! @ Bobby Love's.' They wanted to know whose feet were in the picture. Well, they belong to Bobby Love himself. He was showing us his recent pedicure and Kirk took a picture. Be warned: If a Nightspots photographer photographs something, it could, and probably will, end up in the paper.

Except, of course, what the guy at Inn Exile let Kirk photograph a couple of weeks ago … I definitely can't put that in the paper. It's in the Nightspots private collection though …

What's this I hear about certain people in a certain bar playing 'The Nightspots Game?' Apparently, there's a group of—well, sluts is too nice a word for them … a group of guys who look through Nightspots every week to peruse the pictures and see how many men they've had sex with.

And is it true—and I know who you are, honey—that in one issue one of you guys counted 10 sexcapades?

You are such a fucking whore …
