The weekend was all leather and puppies for me. One of my old dogs, Penelope Rimbaud, passed away—her picture was in Nightspots last week (self-indulgent? Moi?) —leaving me with Jane Austen aged 12. So off we go Maltese puppy shopping and the result over IML weekend was two new babies: Truman Capote, a boy, and Tallulah Bankhead, a girl.
So it was a weekend of IML and potty training; cuddling puppies, and ogling leathermen—some of whom were also dogs. I saw one dogboy drinking from a bowl. And so, this is what I want to know … are dog boys easier to potty train than puppies—real puppies, that is? Because Truman and Tallulah are pissing everywhere at the moment …
I do realize that given the leather lifestyle, a pissing-on-the-rug dogboy might be considered a PLUS, rather than a MINUS. Who knows what other people get up to in the privacy of a hotel room at the Palmer House …
Congratulations to all those involved in putting IML together.

What's all this I'm hearing about a new bar, Dixon's? I love the name already. All the info we have tells us that it will be the hottest new thing on the scene in a while. They have an ad in this week's issue and all I know is the phone number (see the ad). I'd call if I were you.
That's what reading Nightspots is all about, isn't it?

Sometimes it's good when things go wrong. I hear from graysong that during a recent Teri Yaki show at Charlie's, a certain drag queen tripped and fell. That's the bad news. The good news is that graysong took a fabulous photo of her going ass over face. Look out for a stunning upcoming cover.
