Happy birthday to Gina, Diana at the Patch and Peter at Hunters. I missed all your birthday parties, but, as always, Nightspots was there with a camera.

Someone asked me the other day how many photographers we had here at Nightspots. Last count it was 11-ish. I receive 300-400 photos a week and pick out the ones I like. So now you know.

Even the dead celebrated July 4th at Annex 3. The ashes of Itzaak sparkled in a patriotic frenzy (see picture in Nightspots). There's a reason why Annex 3 is known as a party bar; what other bar in town puts a drag queen's ashes on stage to lip-synch a song. The Annex 3 crowd are totally fucked up and I love them for it.

THE MOST FUN A GUY CAN HAVE IN A LADY'S POWDER ROOM …
The Lady's Powder Room in question would be the one at Touche. I often take people into the women's bathroom there to take photos; the light is excellent.
I managed to get Craig from Madrigals, Monique Green and Eio in there for a mini-photo-shoot …
… let's just say that none of those three will ever be President of the United States of America and leave it at that.

Spin, Berlin and Neo are the easiest places to take pictures because everyone looks so fabulous!! As graysong would say: 'Oh, this is an embarrassment of riches.'
And to the young person in another bar who suggested I was too old to be going in these clubs …
Honey, I know I'm too old to be going in these clubs. I just take photos and record what's happening for Nightspots…
… I'm not so delusional that I think I 'belong' there.

Talking of graysong, he recently did a Nightspots cover shoot of Megan and Darren from Jackhammer and I've just seen the photos. Oh my God!! The perfect models …

I went to see HMS Pinafore at the Bailiwick. That was a fun show, like it wasn't camp enough already. Maybe the sailor with the patch could transfer to Naked Boys Singing …

Over the weekend of July 18-20 there are two fabulous celebrations. It's InnExile's 16th anniversary weekend, and also Clark's on Clark's 15th anniversary—their big party is on Sunday night. (Like Clark's isn't a party every fucking weekend.)
I don't know what Kelly at Inn Exile is cooking up for their celebration, but that bar can get WILD, let me tell you!! And there's a parking lot opposite the bar.
On July 18 at the Edge, my friend the gorgeous Viviana Mendez presents The Many Faces of Viviana.
