Hockey Members drive
It's summertime, and you might not believe it, but there's still hockey going on. Though only two years old, the Chicago Gay Hockey Association has been playing continuously since inception, and has been attracting new players and members.
This year, they roller bladed their way through the Gay Pride Parade, expect to have a presence at Market Days, and are developing plans for holding a few fundraisers in late summer and fall. Their one active team has been playing in the Rolling Meadows league for both the Fall/Winter ('03/'04) and current Spring/Summer ('04) sessions. See www.chicagogayhockey.org/schedule/july.htm
As a tax-exempt, volunteer sports association, they count on membership and donations to keep going, so they're asking people to renew membership, or sign up as a new member.
