5K Run/Walk
on March 15
Blarney Fever will be in the air on Chicago's lakefront at the 8th annual "St. Paddy's 5K Run & Walk & Leprechaun Leap," Sunday, March 15 at Diversey Harbor.
The run/walk starts at 9 a.m., followed by a Leprechaun Leap—a free kids' dash—at 10:15 a.m. Also, there will be awards for the most innovative green garb.
A portion of the day's proceeds will benefit the Lake View Citizens' Council, a non-profit community organization.

Zombie bowling
March 14
WildClaw Theatre Company will hold Zombie Bowling on Saturday, March 14, at 9 p.m., at the Timber Lanes, 1851 W. Irving Park.
Highlights will include a horror-movie trivia contest, raffles, "zombie-oke" and, of course, bowling.

LGBT run/walk club's monthly
bar night
On March 6, Frontrunners/Frontwalkers will start a monthly bar night on the first Friday of each month for members, significant others, friends, and persons interested in the club. Members of Team Chicago, Windy City Cycling Club, Chicago Smelts, SkiBudz and Chicago Razors are invited to this event.
Team Chicago will be at the event to answer questions about the Gay Games, which will take place next year in Cologne, Germany.
The event will be held in the Salon at Big Chicks, 5024 N. Sheridan, 6-9 p.m.

Mammoth Gay
Ski Week in March
Elevation 2009, the seventh annual Mammoth Gay Ski Week, will be held in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., March 18-22.
More than 2,000 people are expected to attend this event, the third-largest of its kind in the world. Among the scheduled highlights are several parties, including The Party @ 10,000 Feet and Cliffhanger, the main gala.
