WCGC, Treble Quire's 'Don We Now' Dec. 6

In other news, in the spring, WCGC and Windy City Treble Quire will pay tribute to Tyler Clementi, the Rutgers University student and violinist who took his own life after being humiliated for being gay. Singing in the St. James Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Chicago, WCGC will perform the Midwest premiere of "Tyler's Suite," a new original piece that seven of the country's leading gay choruses commissioned. The concert is entitled "Legacies of Hope."
The season wraps up in June with a musical journey through LGBTQ history with "When You Believe," a concert that will sing the story of pride from Stonewall to marriage equality.
CGMC's 'YuleTube' on Dec. 5, 6 and 20
Chicago Gay Men's Chorus ( CGMC ) will perform the holiday show "YuleTube: Holiday Favorites from Television" on Dec. 5, 6 and 20.
CGMC will re-enact holiday specials from Rankin and Bass ( Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch ), Charlie Brown, The Muppets and a dozen more.
The chorus will perform Friday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. at the Harris Theater, 205 E. Randolph St.; Saturday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Blvd., Skokie; and Saturday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, 915 E. 60th St.
The shows will also mark the farewell to retiring Artistic Director Patrick Sinozich.

Sistah Sinema Chicago Dec. 6 at Gallery 400
Sistah Sinema Chicago will present Thick Relations at Gallery 400, 400 S. Peoria St., on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m.
According to a press release, "Featuring a motley crew of compelling queer anti-heroes, this film constructs and calls forth queer accounts of time, space and relationality [that] are unscripted by conventional or institutional forms of social belonging."
Jackie Boyd will moderate the post-film discussion.
Sistah Sinema, UIC Gender and Sexuality Center, Gallery 400 and Quare Square Collective, Inc., sponsor Sistah Sinema Chicago, which sponsors monthly screenings.

Bowie exhibit hours extended at MCA
Due to increasingly popular demand for Bowie tickets, the Museum of Contemporary Art ( MCA ) has added extended holiday hours to the Bowie exhibition.
Hours are now Fridays 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m.-6 p.m. ( 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on Dec. 28 and Jan. 4 ).
Tickets are $25, which includes admission to see the rest of the museum. Because the exhibition is ticketed by time, visitors need to select a date and time for a ticket to be issued. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mcachicago.org/bowie or by calling the MCA Bowie Hotline at 312-397-4068 during museum hours.
