So. African Olympian Joins Sept. 10 Gay Games Benefit Cruise

Chicago organizers of the 2006 Gay Games announced that South African Olympic beach volleyball player Leigh-Ann Naidoo will be their special guest at its Sept. 10 benefit cruise on Lake Michigan.
Naidoo joins two other special guests aboard the cruise; Sara Waddell Lewinstein, partner of the late Gay Games co-founder Dr. Tom Waddell, and Jessica Waddell Lewinstein, Sara and Tom's daughter. Also joining the hundreds of Chicagoans on the cruise will be delegates from the international Federation of Gay Games, in town for a Gay Games site visit and inspection.
The two-hour cruise will take place aboard the Kanan, Chicago's newest luxury cruise liner. Boarding from Navy Pier is at 8 p.m. with departure at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 and are available by calling ( 773 ) 907-2006 or emailing info@gaygameschicago.org .
