At College Park Center, the Chicago Sky (19-6) defeated the Dallas Wings (11-14) 89-81 on July 16 in WNBA action.
It was the first matchup between the Sky and Wings this season.
Kahleah Copper and Emma Meesseman each scored 23 points for Chicago. Courtney Vandersloot was absent for the first time since Aug. 11, 2019, snapping an 88-game streak.
The Sky will return to Wintrust Arena to face the Seattle Storm on Wed., July 20. The 11 a.m. tipoff will air on NBA TV, Marquee Sports, Fox 13+ and Prime Video.
The Chicago Red Stars lost to the Houston Dash 4-1 on July 16 despite a late goal from rookie Samantha Fisher.
This was only Chicago's second loss of the season, and the first since May 15.
Samantha Fisher scored the Red Stars' lone goal.
Next, the Chicago Red Stars will take on the San Diego Wave on Saturday, July 30, at 7 p.m. CT at Soldier Field.
Chicago's MLB teams also lost July 16and the Cubs lost twice.
The North Siders (34-57) lost both games of a doubleheader to the New York Mets (58-34) by scores of 2-1 and 4-3 at Wrigley Field.

As for the Chicago White Sox (45-46), they slipped under .500 again after falling to the host Minnesota Twins (50-43) 6-3 on July 16.
Before the win, Minnesota had lost six of eight games, per ESPN. Minnesota maintained its edge over Cleveland in the American League Central and went four games ahead of Chicago.
White Sox pitcher Dylan Cease will start Sunday, July 17, in the last game before the All-Star Break.
