Chicago, IL Links Hall is proud to be included on the national tour of The Secret History of Love, which will be performed in cities including Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, San Antonio, and more! From 1920's speakeasies to wartime love affairs to steamy underground cabarets, the "love that dared not speak its name" explodes onstage in this powerful dance theater production by award-winning transgender trailblazer Sean Dorsey. Sean Dorsey will unveil secret love affairs, the history of outlawing love and the underground ways that LGBT people managed to find and love each other in decades past. KOKUMO hails from the south side of Chicago. She holds a bachelor of arts in individualized curriculum with a concentration in psychology from Chicago State University. As founder of KOKUMOMEDIA she uses artivism (art and activism) to create awareness pertaining to TGI (trans, gender non-conforming, and intersex) people of color. She is the founder of T.G.I.F. (Trans, GNC, and Intersex Freedom) the first trans pride of the Chicago. KOKUMO is building a catalyst for TGI liberation via literature and performance art.

Bringing to life "true life fairy tales," one short video will be screened each evening prior to the performance. Illustrating a creative collage of LGBTQ love stories, each video will consist of different interviews from Chicagoans, uncovering tales of love and amplifying their experiences as LGBTQ couples of all ages.
