On June 3, Chicago public-health officials said a second probable case of monkeypox has been identified in Illinois, ABC 7 Chicago reported.
The second person to test positive for monkeypox is a close contact of the first positive case.
If anyone or a recent partner (from the last 21 days) has been exposed or has symptoms, see a healthcare provider (remind them monkeypox is circulating), cover rash/sores, wear a mask and avoid close contact with others. Those who do not feel well or have an unusual rash or sores should take a break from sex and refrain from going out to bars, gyms, clubs and other public spots.
