Chicago, IL — Learn and laugh with the ladies of The Second City and Chicago's premiere women's health organizations at the first-ever Second City Women's Health Fair, hosted by She the People & Women's Health Services at Howard Brown Health.Representatives from groups including Planned Parenthood of IL, Chicago Women's Health Center, Early to Bed, Empowered Therapy and Howard Brown Health will be on hand Thursday, September 6 to empower guests before they take in a performance of Second City's juicy comedy hit The Second City's She the People: Girlfriends' Guide to Sisters Doing It for Themselves,a sketch show created, designed and performed entirely by the women of Second City.

Thursday, September 6, 2018

Additionally, Second City announces the final Chicago extension of She the People featuring the talents of original cast members Carisa Barreca, Alex Bellisle, Katie Caussin and Kimberly Michelle Vaughn in addition to Emma Pope and Kaye Winks. Under the direction of Carly Heffernan with musical direction by Mary Mahoney, She the People has been extended through Sunday, November 11, 2018 in The Second City's UP Comedy Club.

She the People opens August 9 at The Second City Toronto and will head east to Washington D.C.'s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in December.

We'll bet you 72 cents on the dollar ( or much, much less! ) you'll cheer for this sketch show that the Chicago Tribune calls "Empowering entertainment" and the Chicago Sun-Times says is "one of the funniest revues Second City has produced in the last twenty years."

This mimosa-and-madness-fueled foray roasts the patriarchy, taking on everything from having it all...to having that sick feeling your government is trying to send you back to the Middle Ages. It's time for women everywhere to collectively reclaim comedy!

She the People is written by Carisa Barreca, Alex Bellisle, Marla Caceres, Katie Caussin, Carly Heffernan, Maria Randazzo, Rashawn Nadine Scott, Tien Tran, Kimberly Michelle Vaughn, and Lauren Walker. Abby Beggs is the lighting designer and Jaci Entwisle is the stage manager.

She the People plays on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 7pm at UP Comedy Club, located at 230 W North Ave, 3rd Floor of Piper's Alley, Chicago. Tickets, starting at $26, are available at the Second City Box Office ( 230 W. North Ave, First Floor, Piper's Alley ), by phone at 312-337-3992 or online at www.secondcity.com . Suggested Rating: R
