The whipped cream was a'flyin' at Thursday night's Pussy Whipped party, a benefit for Women in the Director's Chair at Subterranean in Wicker Park. About 300 people turned out for the event, which was hosted by Dykediva.com . The night was emceed by comedian Jessica Halem and featured performances by the Chicago Kings, Heather's Damage and Love is a Verb. WIDC will receive half of the proceeds taken in from the door, T-shirt sales and a raffle. The other half of the proceeds will to go toward helping Dykediva.com cover its costs, said creator Ronit Bezalel.

Bezalel said she plans to make benefit parties a regular fixture, with the next one called Sit and Spin: Battle of the Djs. See www.dykediva.com
