In a game that featured 16 lead changes and 10 ties, the Chicago Sky made clutch shots down the stretch and edged the Connecticut Sun in game three of the 2021 WNBA playoff semifinals 86-83 at Wintrust Arena on Oct. 3.
Now, the Sky are just one win away from the 2021 WNBA finals after taking a two-to-one lead in the best-of-five semifinals.
Sky forward Candace Parker passed Lisa Leslie for third on the all-time WNBA playoffs rebounds leaders list, as she grabbed 10 boards. Parker now has 481.
For Chicago, forward Kahleah Copper scored a playoff-career high 26 points.
Chicago has won two games in the WNBA semifinals for just the second time in franchise history. The first was in 2014, when the Sky beat Indiana two games to one to clinch the Eastern Conference title and advance to the 2014 WNBA finals.
Game four between the Sky and the Sun will take place Wed., Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN.
