The Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and Univision Chicago—part of Univision Communications Inc., the leading Spanish-language media and content company in the country—announced a first-time partnership that will deliver special Spanish-language coverage of the club’s Saturday, Sept. 25 (7 p.m. CT) match versus the Portland Thorns to fans in the Chicago-and area on UniMas TV and TUDN, Univision Sports Radio WRTO 1200 AM.

In addition to offering fans at home a Spanish-language broadcast experience, the Red Stars will celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month at SeatGeek Stadium with activations for fans attending the match.

In the weeks preceding the game, Red Stars players will appear across Univision Chicago television and radio programming to promote the upcoming game and educate fans on the league and the Red Stars franchise.

Established in 2007, the Red Stars were a founding member of the former Women’s Professional Soccer and would later become one of the original eight teams to form the National Women’s Soccer League in 2013.
