On Aug. 8, the Chicago Red Stars battled, but ultimately fell to the Orlando Pride 2-0 in Bridgeview, Illinois, in women's soccer action.
Tatumn Milazzo led the team in touches (58) and interceptions (four), and tied for the team lead in clearances. She also totaled 31 passes and a 67.7% passing accuracy rate. Mallory Pugh twice came close to scoring for the Red Stars.

The upcoming week for the Red Stars will have Chicago play three games in seven daysall on the road. The first road test will be Sunday, Aug. 15, as Chicago takes on North Carolina for the second time this season, followed by a match Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Louisville in a game that doubles as an NWSL game and one that is part of the inaugural Women's Cup. Chicago will then conclude things Saturday, Aug. 21, when the squad will take on either Paris Saint-Germain or FC Bayern Munich, pending the results of Aug. 18 matches.
