On Aug. 24, the Chicago Sky secured its first win on its most-recent five-game road trip with an 86-79 victory over the Atlanta Dream.
Those scoring in double digits for the Sky included Candace Parker (18 points), Kahleah Copper (16), Allie Quigley (21) and Courtney Vandersloot (12).
Parker moved to 11th all-time in career assists with a dish to teammate Courtney Vandersloot at the 6:20-minute mark in the first quarter. Against the Dream, Parker led the Sky with nine rebounds (all defensive). Also, Vandersloot crossed a milestone by securing her 1,000th career rebound.
The Sky continue their late-August road trip and head to the Emerald City to face the Seattle Storm for a two-game series, with the first game set for Friday, Aug. 27. The tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. CT (7 p.m. PT), and Sky fans can watch the game on The U/NBA TV.
